The everlasting project of the patchwork knitted blanket finally came to a close just before I went off to Bristol.
I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out - especially as there are some widely varying weights and plys amongst the wools used. Even the colours seem to go together quite well considering every single piece of yarn used was thrifted, including the black yarn to sew it all together. I'm not sure how much it cost me to make, probably somewhere in the region of £10 - £15. Time-wise it took a little over two months and was a nice simple project to do whilst watching telly. As it's pretty nippy in the house this evening (and I've no intention of putting the central heating on until absolutely necessary) it will be getting it's first outing whilst I'm watching Coronation Street.
Apologies for the rubbish photo - the light here this afternoon was dreadful.
Yay! Well done, it looks super and lovely and warm!

Just gorgeous. If I tried something like that it'd take me years. Well done!
Btw, Wendy from Wales - you comment much more than me so it's only right and fair that you revert back to being Wendy and I'll be Wendy from Scotland when I occasionally comment!

Love this little knitted blanket - could have done with it while I was watching Coronation St too and starting to feel a bit chilly. Just starting to make some draught excluders now for the front and back doors.
Thanks for your comment Wendy. I also read a Wendy from Scotland blog - wonder if it is you! (Marco)

This blanket is lovely. I keep toying with taking up crocheting again and making a blanket.
Knitted blankets are in fashion at the moment so while you are sat there tucked up in your blanket you can tell everyone it is a fashion accessory as well as a necessacity on a cold night.
