Yesterday I had the most wonderful day out. My sister and my darling nephew came up to London for the day so I met up with them at Paddington and we all had a jolly good time.
There was a visit to this must-see shop for all young (and not so young) kids.
There was a 'flight' on this famous landmark for DN and his mummy
I've already been on the Eye and wouldn't repeat the experience. I didn't know I had such a problem with heights until the capsule doors had closed and I was well and truly stuck!!
So as they headed off to great heights, I was left with the pushchair and several large bags, to try my hand at a few 'arty' shots of the London Eye
And a more traditional shot of the Houses of Parliament.
After their 'flight' there were 'living statues' to be wondered at on the Embankment.
And 'bicycling lizards' to be in awe of.
All in all it was a truly magical day (and not just for the four year old of the group).
Looks like you all had a fun day. We've visited the London Eye once, I liked it more than I thought I would as I'm not at all good with fairground rides etc. It's knowing that you can't get off if you want to, that's what I don't like about them! I love taking in the sights and sounds in London, I haven't done it for a long time and you've given me a taste for it...perhaps a day out is on the cards for the summer holidays! Are those Crocs DN is wearing? V.trendy, I want some!
