but I couldn't not buy this very pretty covered serving dish. I love the pale pink base and the 1950s floral grey, pink and blue lid, and it will get used as we usually have our veg served up in Pyrex bowls at the moment - without lids. This dish will ensure the potatoes and veg stay a lot warmer until we want a second helping. It is by J&G Meakin, is in perfect condition, and only cost £1.25 in the charity shop. Still don't know where I'm going to store it though!!
I love it!!!

I'd buy it too. Vintage ware is much better quality than modern china and look how pretty that dish is!

I Love it!! And what a bargain! No wonder you bought it - even though you don't know where to put it!

I think it's so pretty it shouldn't be stored away, just leave it out on the kitchen worktop! Really nice and cheap too.

Wow! What a wonderful find! I also love the colours and would rather have something vintage over the mass produced tat that's available these days.

I have a small serving dish in the same print as this that currently has plants standing on it, as I bought it and couldn't think of anywhere to store mine either!
