.... having a quiet five minutes yesterday evening, reading another of the books I'd been given for Christmas.
I was particularly enjoying the chapter about crafts and how they have become much more popular and fashionable since the advent of blogging. I got to page 101 where there is a list of craft blogs to check out and I nearly fell out of my chair with excitement, there - amongst such craft-blog luminaries as Wee Wonderfuls, Loobylu, Molly Chicken and Apron Thrift Girl - was a mention of Making Good Use.
I could not believe it and much squealing with excitement ensued. I spent the rest of the evening in a state of mild shock. I have no idea why India Knight would think my blog was worth mentioning - although I'm very pleased that she did - but have been wondering why my viewing stats had rocketed lately. I think I may have found the answer.
PS. In case you can't see from the cr*p photo, the mention of Making Good Use is the second one down on the page. The description reads 'Jaunty British blog about trying to be thrifty and green, with a big crafts emphasis.' I particularly like the word 'jaunty' - a word that seems to be very underused these days.
PPS. What I've read of the book so far is very useful and highly amusing. Another one I'd recommend.
How exciting! Well deserved as well! and yet another book on my wishlist! lol :)

Can't think why you would be surprised that India Knight mentions you. It is a very well deserved mention! Now even more people will be able to enjoy your blog with the rest of us. Happy New Year and here's to more publicity for you.
