I found this modern version of the classic 'John Bull Printing Press' toy in the charity shop the other day. It reminded me so much of the lovely 'John Bull' set I had as a child. In my day the little letters were all metal, today of course they are made of plastic but I bought it nevertheless as a) it was only £1.25 and b) I thought it might come in useful when making handmade cards. I've also got high ideas of doing a bit of printing with fabric print with the letters too but goodness knows if I'll ever get round to it or not!!
VOTE FOR JOE JOE. Could I put out a blatant plea for people to vote for Joe Joe, one of my nephew's cats, who he is trying to get to be voted 'Pet of the Week' on Boomerang TV. The link is here if you'd be kind enough to vote. Joe Joe is a lovely pet and a great pal of my nephew's. Unfortunately, poor old Joe Joe is not very well at the moment and it's a bit touch and go as to how much longer he'll be around. Thank you very much if you do decide to vote.
You are so lucky, we have been trying to find a set like this for our son's birthday coming up. He loves to write, draw, paint, print anything and everything to do with words. We haven't had much luck, unfortunately, I do hope you enjoy yours. Great find!

I had a printing set- many, many years ago. It sat alongside my post office set and one year I made all my Christmas cards with it and put them through the post with my duck stamp. Every one was delivered. Happy days:)
I'll see if I can vote for Joe from here in NZ.

Oh yes indeed.. I do remember these and had a gorgeous vintage John Bull set last year.
I have left my vote for Joe Joe.. a beautiful boy and almost identical to a Maine Coon cat called Minky that we used to have.. or rather she had us!

No I don't remember it at all!
I voted for Joe, Joe, who is a beautiful kitty! I think the voting was just clicking on the stars (I gave him a perfect score!). Do let me know if I missed the mark and need to do something else :)

Have voted for Joe Joe - who looks a lovely cat - similar in colour to the Maine Coon I had before my current two - General Maximus. Do hope Joe Joe wins
