Despite an incredibly strong wind blowing from a rather chilly easterly direction, the car boot sale this morning was undoubtedly the best of the season so far. I came away with
An unused vintage Clothkits skirt kit - £2.00. I'm hoping this will be a good one for re-sale on ebay.
A whole host of toiletries, including some travel-size Cath Kidston shower gels and body lotion (£1.00), an unopened Bourjois trio eye shadow palette (50p) and some other useful bits and bobs for me.
Five vintage wooden cotton reels - £1.00. I collect these up until I've got around twenty or so and then sell them on ebay.
Five rather nice T-shirts for my nephew - 50p each. I think he'll be particularly pleased with the 'Ironman 2' one as his birthday treat last year was a trip to the cinema to see 'Ironman 2' (poor Mum, who also accompanied the hoard of very excited seven-year-olds, said it was the most boring film she's ever seen!!). It's getting harder and harder to find clothes for my nephew these days as he is now so tall he needs age 11-12 clothing to suit his height, and clothing in that age group is really hard to find at boot sales. Today was a lucky day.
Et pour moi. A lovely cotton scarf, brand new with the tags still attached - £1.00, and a really cute Matryoshka-print umbrella - £1.50. I don't strictly need another umbrella but I just couldn't resist this one, especially as the handle is a wooden Matryoshka too.
And, very pleased with this find, a brand-new Philips Ladyshave for £3.00. My old shaver is now refusing to recharge and last time I did my underarms I tried using P's rotary blade razor - it was a very painful experience and one I'd really not wish to repeat!! I'll be charging this little beauty up this afternoon and trying it out ASAP.
I'll link this post to Apron Thrift Girl's Thrift Share Monday and Me and My Shadow's Magpie Monday.
LOVE the scarf and brolly!

Dear Liz,
Thanks for the T-shirts for DN - they look just the ticket. I think the Iron Man T-shirt will be the favourite.
Thank you for all the clothes you get for DN - they are very appreciated.
Love from Sarah.

Ow wow. Didn't you do well!!
I'd kill for that Clothkits kit and the vintage cotton reels.
The umbrella is great too - would go perfectly with the necklace I picked up!
Thanks for linking up x

I love the colours in the scarf.
I think you are so clever looking at what you can resell on Ebay. Maybe I should start doing that?

I know exactly what you mean about clothes for boys - now Will's 11, I very rarely find decent clothes at bootsales for him. Although I did get a bumper lot of Mini Boden about a year ago for £1 per item, which he's just growing into this summer.
Made exactly same mistake as you with husband's rotary shaver recently, and can confirm it was VERY painful - not just at the time, but for hours afterwards, too!
