Today's my birthday - zweiundfunfzigjahrige!! (possibly sounds even more scary when said in German.) I'm celebrating by heading to Leigh-on-Sea for the day. I've not been there before and according to the Find a Charity Shop website, they've got TEN charity shops, plus there's a wool and fabric shop (Roses and Rue) which looks rather nice, it's by the sea (well, the Thames estuary!) and - huge triple bonus this summer - it's not raining.
Happy Birthday to you!! Fingers crossed for a day of fabulous bargains and great finds, seaside resorts are usually great for treasure.

Roses and Rue has closed down - try a visit to the fabric shop instead, they have some very nice wool there. I think it's called Belle Fabrics.

Happy Birthday! Hope you've had a lovely time in Leigh. As I've said before, it's one of my mum's favorite charity shop haunts (and mine when I'm down there!). Hope you went off The Broadway too and down Leigh Road? My mum had lots of luck this morn at that small carboot I told you about! Looking forward to seeing what you found! Catherine x
