Having not been overly pleased with the end result of the bag I made last week, I've been having a bit of a ponder about what to do with the other Matryoshka appliques I'd made. In fact I'd changed my mind about appliqueing them to anything else, so a change of use was on the cards. After a bit of fiddling around this afternoon I came up with this.
A rather pleasing Matryoshka softie. I cut out a back piece from the same green wool fabric, blanket stitched the two pieces together and lightly stuffed the resulting 'doll'. She's quite cute and will be just the thing to go on the mantlepiece with my Cath Kidston felt reindeer when the time comes to break out the Christmas decorations.
Yesterday, I forgot to add details of where the knitting pattern for the apple washcloth came from. That pattern, and many other dishcloth patterns, are available here.
P.S. Calling any techie-minded readers. Does anyone have any ideas why I can no longer delete photos from my computer. We're pretty sure the problem lies with the 'recycle bin' icon but, try as we might, we just can't sort it. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.
Have you tried going through the photos and deleting them rather than sending them to the recycle bin? It takes a lot longer that way, but may work. If this doesn't work, I will ask my "techie" other half for you and let you know

You may need to empty recycle bin and then try again to delete the photos. Have you checked that?
PS: nice blog :)
