Making a welcome change from the recent autumnal summer storms, today has been a lovely, warm, sunny day with a light breeze. It was ideal grass cutting and washing drying weather, and the whole neighbourhood seems to have washing on lines, and lawnmowers buzzing across the grass.
I was also prompted to do a mega-quick Gok Wan style refashion of a recently-purchased (charity shop) top.
The original 'angel' sleeves did absolutely nothing for my bingo wings, so I hacked off the worst of the flapping bits, took in the underarm seams a couple of inches, and feel a lot more comfortable in the resulting sleeveless top.
It's not perfect but is a huge improvement
Yes Gok certainly comes up with some good ideas,it's worth looking again at clothes you don't wear because they're not quite right, a stitch here or there can make all the difference. Enjoy the sun, not sure it's here to stay....

This top looks really nice now that you have been brave enough to cut away the sleeve area. Gill is right about the weather - have just heard an awful forecast of rain and wind for this weekend - boohoo!

Mona's question on car boot sales reminded me of the far from frugal Prince Charles who asked the same question some years ago: "Why would want to sell the boot of one's car"!!!
