I was recently asked to try out a jar of Very Lazy Ginger from The English Provender Co. I don't generally use a lot of ginger in cooking so I had to put my thinking hat on as to what to do with it but anything that cuts down on preparation time is always a winner with me. I came up with a couple of ideas - chopping it finely and adding it to Greek yogurt - very nice and also, again chopping it finely, and adding it to some plain cottage cheese - which certainly livened up the taste of something that can be quite bland.
I haven't given it a try in cooking as yet but as it lasts 12 weeks once opened, I'm sure I'll find the opportunity. I can imagine it would be good added to a stir fry or even with some stewed fruit. Nice stuff and a useful addition to the store cupboard.
I'm thinking it would be delish in a ginger cake, with lemon icing? Yum!

I use a Sainsbury's version - there is a useful chili one too.... it's a boon.

I've never tried it but if I had it would make either ginger cake or ginger breadmen.

Not a fan of ginger, 12 weeks, it would be 12 months in my cupboard, ha ha. Enjoy.

I quite often add it to stir-frys along with garlic to add a bit of flavour, so I would say - give it a try.
