A quick visit to the library to return a DVD (The Damned United, excellent film which I can highly recommend, even if you hate football like I do) resulted in me perusing the 'Crafts' section and borrowing four interesting looking books. (The cute pink felt mouse on the cover of 'Stitched Toys' was enough for me to borrow that particular tome.)
I particularly like the look of the '101 Yarn Stash Wonders' book as I've certainly got plenty of single balls lurking in my yarn stash. There may even be some Christmas present inspiration amongst the patterns too.
Then a call into the charity shop to drop off a bag of books resulted in my finding some rather interesting vintage sewing patterns - the middle one is an unused Jean Muir design from the 1960s.
And these Womble and Gonk sewing patterns are pretty unusual too. They were all 25p each and are all destined for eBay at some point.
those patterns look very interesting - bargain at 25p!

Ooooh, strange coincidence, I sold one of those exact Womble sewing patterns on Ebay only a week or so ago!!

Wonderful patterns and a cute mouse, too. That's true Karma, doing a good deed resulting in reward.
