This weekend was not that good for thrifted bargains and I ended up with a very mixed lot of items. The boot sale on Sunday morning was less than half the size it was the week before - not helped by the forecast that had predicted rain in Essex until mid-morning, needless to say the sun was out and there was barely a cloud in the sky. I only found one lot of shampoo and one shower gel for myself, a couple of books for re-sale and another pair of jeans for me (although I was very pleased to find those.)
Best find of the morning was this large cushion. When I first spotted it I thought it might be Laura Ashley fabric but couldn't find a label on it. The woman selling it said it was only 50p and that it was, indeed, from Laura Ashley. I believe this type of print is called Toile de Jouy (not quite sure that's how it's spelt!) and these seem to sell well on ebay.
Yesterday's 'Coffee and Jumble' was also a bit thin on the bargain front. I bought a couple of books which proved to be useless for re-sale, so they went out in the charity bag that was collected this morning.
Another Moulinex mouli grater, although sans its box. These seem to be good sellers on ebay so I was happy to find that. I also picked up a Wilson tennis racquet for £1.00. I initially bought it with the idea of my nephew making use of it when he visits in the summer but, having checked out what they sell for on ebay, I think I shall be listing it instead. There were a couple of other tennis racquets at the 'Coffee and Jumble' so I might just get those for my nephew next week, if they're still there.
