Whenever ebay have a free listing weekend, I list some of my handmade items with a higher-than-my-usual-99p starting price. I've been listing my pillowcase totes for most of the spring and summer this way and none of them sold - until the last couple of weeks.
Two weeks ago this one sold - and I felt quietly happy that someone had wanted to part with their hard-earned cash to buy something I'd made.
Then today I sold not one, not two, but three of my bags in the same afternoon and I am feeling extremely delighted about this.
This one is heading all the way to Bulgaria.
This one over the sea to Ireland.
And this one is staying much closer to home, in fact it's staying within Essex. Yup, I'm feeling stupidly pleased that not one, not two, but three people want to buy the bags I've made.
I do like knocking up a tote bag with vintage fabric, that bird one is particularly cute. x

Congratulations on your sales - they look like good, useful bags. My favourite is the one on its way to Bulgaria.

Well done, Elizabeth - funny how things don't sell for ages, then all at once. I recently listed a pair of shoes for the fourth or fifth time, after them having no interest at all, and I ended up with 8 bids and a selling price of over £20 - incomprehensible, really!
