I finished sewing up my second patchwork knitted blanket yesterday evening. It's been a bit of an ongoing project as I'm pretty sure I started it waaaaay back in the cold weather in February. My other knitted blanket was done in squares and went together really nicely. I thought I'd have a change with this one and try knitting in strips instead - probably not the brightest idea I've ever had, especially as there were all sorts of different weight yarns in the mix.
Somehow parts of the strips have ended up, as my Dad used to say, 'all to cock,' and there's a definite slant going on in places!! It's all a bit of a b*gger really and very very annoying. Question is, do I take it all apart and try sewing it up again to see if that sorts out the slanting, or do I just learn to live with it as it is. For the time being I don't have to look at it so I think I'll put it away in a cupboard and think about it in a little while.
At least the colours are quite pleasing together when the blanket is folded up.
Two thoughts:1) have you blocked it? That might straighten it a bit and 2)a saying of my Dad's "A little imperfection is pleasing to the eye"
It's a win win:)

It looks alright to me, I would use it. I heard someone say once that if you put a fabric backing on a knitted piece it keeps it in shape.

We say it's all "cock-eyed" here in Texas. I've had a few of those too with my crocheting. I once made an afgan that kept getting wider and wider. Apparently I didn't have the pattern exactly right. I think your blanket will look fine once it's blocked.
Blessings!

I'm crocheting strips to make a blanket and am sure it'll come out a little wonky, but as long as it keeps the user warm, that's all that should matter !
